Anarchists United is dedicated to supporting filmmakers whose work in front of and behind the camera aims to serve narratives that further Artistry, Diversity, and Equity and uplift those from historically underserved communities. Anarchists United recognizes that independent filmmaking is hard at any stage, but can be particularly difficult as filmmaking teams are racing towards the finish line. Anarchists United Studios Genre Film Completion Fund is intended to help provide much-needed support to bring polish and refinement to films as they move through post-production. ABOUT ANARCHISTS UNITED Founded by filmmaker Lilly Wachowski, Anarchists United aims to elevate the next generation of filmmakers whose work uses genre storytelling in inventive and unexpected ways. Anarchists United is dedicated to creating a holistically integrated and sustainable economic and artistic ecosystem to support ARTISTRY, DIVERSITY and EQUITY in media. Artistry: Championing creative vision over corporate dictates. In a consolidating media landscape where buyers are making their mandates increasingly narrow, Anarchists United will support creative freedom and adventurous choices by directors, writers and others in media.‍ Diversity: Committing to radically support creatives from historically underserved communities in front of and behind the camera. People of color, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, older creatives, people with disabilities, and the economically challenged are all among the cohorts that Anarchists United will promote. Equity: Democratizing the economic upside of productions. Every person who works on AU projects, above the line and below the line, will receive a share. ANARCHISTS UNITED x HARBOR PICTURE COMPANY SPECIAL PRIZE In addition to the Fund, the top winner will also receive a post-production package that includes color grading and sound services thanks to a generous donation from Harbor Picture Company. Details will be provided if you win. Terms and Conditions apply.

- Medium: Short-form or feature-length narrative genre projects (Sci-Fi, Action, Horror, Thriller). Documentary and experimental are not eligible.

What to upload (single PDF, internal use only):
1. A link to your rough cut. It does not have to be finished, but should give a clear sense of tone. Include a password if your film is gated.
2. An essay (1–3 pages max) covering:
- Bios (3 max) for writer, director, and key producer
- The genre you are working in and how it enhances the core themes of your story
- How your film furthers Artistry, Diversity, and Equity, and uplifts those from historically underserved communities
Do not paste your film link into public fields like your project description, "How does your project qualify?", or the public link field. Place it only inside the private PDF below. This protects your festival eligibility.
Your rough cut and essay are visible only to the Anarchists United team and Artizen curators. It will not be publicly displayed or shared outside this review.
