The Apam Unity and Progress Fund supports talented young creators from Gomoa Apam who use accessible digital tools to celebrate, preserve, and reimagine coastal Fante culture. From documenting Akwambo festivals and fishing traditions to creating photography, graphic art, reels, and animations, this fund invests in youth-led digital storytelling that transforms local pride into globally visible cultural narratives while strengthening community identity and creative confidence.

Eligibility

This fund is designed for youth creators rooted in Gomoa Apam who are actively producing digital cultural work that reflects coastal Ghanaian life. We prioritize projects that demonstrate authenticity, community connection, and a commitment to amplifying Apam’s heritage through modern creative formats.
To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Be led by a young creator or collective based in Apam or the Gomoa West District
- Focus on coastal Ghanaian or Fante culture, traditions, history, or everyday life
- Use digital media such as photography, graphic design, video, animation, or social content
- Demonstrate originality and cultural respect, avoiding extractive or purely commercial narratives
- Show feasibility with accessible tools and a clear plan for creation and sharing
- Commit to producing cultural artifacts that can be shared with the broader community
