Artizen Tools Fund for Independent Builders

Backing independent builders who make Artizen legible: open tools, dashboards, bots, and datasets anyone can use and fork.

Every living platform eventually grows a second layer: the independent tools that let people see the whole game. Artizen funds art, science, and culture, but the tool layer on top of it is still thin. This fund pays for the next bricks. The reference case is artizen.fyi, an unaffiliated open-source leaderboard that crawls the platform and turns seasons, funds, drives, and boosts into public pages anyone can search. We back independent engineers, designers, and data artists shipping the missing public layer: better data, better search, bots that explain a Fund Drive, season dashboards, and open datasets other builders can fork. Every tool must be publicly usable and open or fair-source, built to make Artizen more legible without extracting from the communities on it. Independence is the point. The platform is the canvas. Now we fund the people painting on it.

Eligibility

Whether you write code, design interfaces, or shape data into stories, this fund is built for you.
To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Working and Public: Ship a working, publicly usable tool (site, API, bot, dataset, or library) with a public URL people can actually use.
- Built on Artizen: Read its data, wrap its gameplay, or help creators, funders, and fund admins play the season.
- Open or Fair-Source: Source is open or fair-source so others can learn from, build on, and fork what you make.
- No Vaporware: Not a pitch deck, not a private SaaS, and not a generic tool that merely mentions Artizen.
- Give More Than You Take: Make Artizen more legible or more usable, without extracting from the communities on it.
