Decentralize Everything Fund for Web3 Public Goods

Funding the builders rebuilding the soul of web3: decentralization, shared ownership, and public infrastructure.

The original promise of crypto was decentralization: shared ownership, censorship resistance, permissionless coordination outside centralized control. Much of that narrative has been damaged by greed, while AI concentrates power into ever fewer hands, which makes the decentralization layer more important than ever. This fund backs the people still building that future: open-source infrastructure, decentralized governance, community-owned networks, privacy-preserving tools, and coordination mechanisms, the hard, less-hyped, underfunded parts of the ecosystem.

Eligibility

To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Projects must contribute meaningfully to web3 public goods: decentralization, open infrastructure, community ownership, or ecosystem health.
- Be aimed at distributing power, ownership, access, knowledge, or decision-making away from centralized entities and toward individuals, communities, and ecosystems.
- Be open-source and publicly accessible.
- Be community-oriented and designed to create value for the public good.
- Align with long-term ecosystem health: trust, transparency, and resilience.
- Eligible forms include open infrastructure, decentralized governance, community-owned networks, public-good protocols, web3 education, privacy-preserving and security tools, and coordination mechanisms.
