DeSpace Fund

Backing serious space exploration projects, from robotics to policy, built by people with real track records.

Space work is unforgiving: it rewards rigor, credentials earned in the field, and ambitions scoped to what a team can actually deliver. DeSpace Fund supports serious space-exploration projects across robotics, engineering, simulation, science, and policy, led by founders with demonstrated experience and a clear sense of what this level of funding can realistically achieve. A published mathematical model of a propulsion system is fundable; the propulsion system itself is a different fund.

Eligibility

To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Serious space-exploration projects: space robotics, engineering, science, policy, and mission modeling.
- Founders must show real space-sector credentials: education, work experience, publications, presentations at recognized space events, working prototypes, or time inside space companies.
- Project scope must match the funding: models, prototypes, publications, and mission designs rather than full hardware programs. A rigorous published model of a propulsion system qualifies; building the propulsion system does not.
- Projects must rest on established physics and engineering practice. No pseudoscience.
- A path toward real impact or commercial application is a plus, and strong projects may be connected with investors as the community grows.
