Flamingo Living Commons Fund for Albania

Caring for the people who care for Albania's rivers, wetlands, forests, and public spaces.

Albania's landscapes are changing fast, and the activists, artists, and researchers working to protect its rivers, wetlands, and forests are running on passion with nowhere to rest. This fund supports projects that strengthen the wellbeing and resilience of the people working for environmental and social change in Albania: spaces and practices where creativity, embodiment, community care, and ecological action reinforce one another, because caring for those who care for the land is essential for long-term change.

Eligibility

To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Projects must strengthen the wellbeing and resilience of people working for environmental and social change in Albania.
- Combine creativity, embodiment, community care, and ecological action: grief ceremonies, bodywork, movement, art, nature-based gatherings, and restorative practices all qualify.
- Help activists, artists, and local communities prevent burnout and sustain long-term engagement.
- Open to environmental activists, artists, filmmakers, researchers, bodyworkers, movement practitioners, educators, community organizers, architects, storytellers, and interdisciplinary creators working to protect Albania's nature, culture, and ecosystems.
