Eligibility

The Gray Area Fund uplifts interdisciplinary creators advancing innovative work at the nexus of art, technology, and social imagination. We seek projects that expand cultural understanding, pioneer new creative tools or experiences, and strengthen the communities they engage.
To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Integrate at least two disciplines among art, technology, science, design, or the humanities.
- Demonstrate cultural innovation through experimentation, originality, or boundary-pushing creative methods.
- Incorporate digital, computational, or experiential elements such as interactive systems, immersive media, creative coding, sensor-driven experiences, or technologically mediated performance.
- Engage audiences or communities in ways that cultivate understanding, connection, or shared cultural inquiry.
- Prioritize inclusivity, equitable representation, or amplification of underrepresented voices.
- Present a feasible work plan and team capable of delivering the project within the proposed timeline.
- Submit an Artifact capturing the project’s core inspiration.
- Align with Artizen’s curation criteria of originality, impact, and feasibility.
