The Making + Thinking Fund supports artists, researchers, and activists challenging disciplinary norms to build a just and sustainable world. We back bold experiments in art and pedagogy that question convention and embody radical imagination. If your work lives at the intersection of making and thinking, this fund is for you.

Eligibility

We seek projects that explore how artistic creation deepens inquiry and enacts thought. Whether through experimental media, radical pedagogy, or transdisciplinary collaboration, projects must align with our commitment to justice, equity, and creative community building.
To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Embody an interdisciplinary approach that blends art-making with critical inquiry.
- Engage themes of equity, justice, or sustainability.
- Be led by or meaningfully include historically marginalized voices.
- Explore new models for learning, living, or creative collaboration.
- Clearly articulate how the project challenges disciplinary conventions or norms.
- Be at any stage of development, from concept to completion.
