Plural Events Fund

Funding the local sessions of global conversations: one topic, many places, many perspectives.

Plural events flip the conference model: instead of one stage, the same topic is discussed in real-life groups in many locations around the same time, and the perspectives are gathered into a more plural understanding than any single room could produce. Inspired by Audrey Tang and Glen Weyl's plurality principles, this fund supports the individual in-person sessions that make up each Plural event, conversations about society's structures, democracy, privacy, and technology, hosted in independent spaces around the world.

Eligibility

To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Projects must be in-real-life events taking part as a session in a Plural event.
- Plural events explore one topic in real-life groups across many locations at around the same time, gathering different perspectives into a more plural understanding.
- Sessions must be facilitated according to Plurality principles.
- Typical themes include society structures, democracy, and the role of privacy and technology.
- Sessions are usually led by community leads and stewards of local spaces where free conversations like these are possible.
