Fueling art and music projects that use digital and onchain creativity to bring people together in real life.
The Refraction Fund for IRL Culture supports creators using digital tools, onchain systems, and networked art or music to spark real-world gatherings, rituals, and shared cultural moments. We champion bold projects that merge online innovation with IRL connection to build vibrant, participatory culture for the communities they touch.

We look for projects that use digital or onchain mediums to activate real-world experiences—performances, installations, gatherings, pop-ups, civic rituals, or communal celebrations. Selected work should demonstrate cultural impact, creative experimentation, and a clear plan for how people will come together IRL.
To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must meaningfully center an IRL component—a live event, activation, installation, performance, or gathering.
- Must also incorporate digital or onchain creativity, such as digital art, blockchain-backed provenance, onchain coordination, token-based participation, generative or interactive media, or other networked tools.
- Demonstrate originality, impact, and feasibility per Artizen’s curation guidelines.
- Show how the project cultivates culture, not just content—community energy, shared context, or collective meaning-making.
- All material must be original or properly licensed.
- Submit a qualifying Artifact that meets Artizen technical standards.
