Funding live-in village projects growing the inner and relational skills that let people actually live, decide, and create together.
Land, buildings, and gardens do not make a village. People do, and people arrive carrying wounds, projections, and unfinished emotions that can quietly take a whole project down. The Regenerative Village Culture Fund backs live-in village projects, temporary or long-term, that treat this human layer as the real work: groups practising emotional responsibility, non-hierarchical decision-making, shadow and underworld work, adulthood initiation, and shared learning while actually living together. Where other funds build the physical foundations of the next culture, this one grows the relational ones, the skills that let a group stay in relationship when things get difficult and make living together more alive than living alone. Funded projects share what they discover with the wider global village, so each experiment becomes a map for the next. Not a utopian fantasy. Real people, under one roof, learning to live and create together.
We welcome live-in communities, village builders, residential training centres, and land-based projects offering initiatory and healing work, at any stage from a two-week camp to a settled village.
To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Living Together: A group of people living together, temporarily or long-term, actively experimenting with and practising regenerative ways of living together. Online-only communities do not qualify.
- Emotional Responsibility: Offers tools, maps, processes, and practices that help people access, feel, and take responsibility for their emotions and use them as resources for healing and creating.
- Personal Responsibility: Supports people to take increasing responsibility for what they choose, create, and contribute in their lives and in the community.
- Non-Hierarchical Structure: Experimenting with non-hierarchical ways of living, relating, and making decisions, rather than organising around a central leader or authority.
- Creative Agency: Can show real results of people developing greater self-authority, centeredness, and creative agency.
- Evolutionary Culture: Healing and transformation, individual and collective, sit at the centre; the project learns, evolves, and experiments rather than preserving a fixed way of doing things.
- Shadow Work: Offers spaceholding, distinctions, and processes for people and the group to meet their underworld without making it wrong, so what stays unexamined does not undermine the project.
- Shared Learning: Actively shares its research, discoveries, and learnings with the wider global village, adding to the evolution of regenerative cultures.
