Funding DIY regeneration through permaculture, art, and placemaking to make Portland more beautiful, edible, and alive.
Portland is full of people that are focused on rewilding, urban food production, community repair, and creative placemaking—yet many lack the resources to bring their visions to life. The Portland Fund for Grassroots Regeneration provides micro-grants to these grassroots visionaries who are transforming our city one vacant lot, street corner, and neighborhood at a time. We support projects that center artistic placemaking and ecological regeneration: food forests emerging from cracked concrete, pollinator havens brightening forgotten spaces, community murals that bring neighbors together. With a no-red-tape approach, we're backing the solarpunks, guerrilla gardeners, and community artists who aren't waiting for permission to create a more beautiful, resilient Portland. If your project feeds people, restores ecology, or sparks joy—the Portland Fund for Grassroots Regeneration wants to help make it happen!
