Illusions tells the story of Damon Host, an assassin working for the Agency of D.E.A.T.H. that finds himself accused of a murder he didn't commit. Determined, he tries to prove his innocence with the help of his greatest passion: illusionism. As of right now, the project is still in development. We have already 525K raised. However, we are ready to enter production as soon as early next year. Most of our cast and crew have been found. The only actors missing are for Damon, Jack (in waiting of confirmation), and Alexei (in waiting of confirmation).
Having an international agency at the center means a realistic representation of our society. Behind the camera, we already have, on average, 4 languages spoken on set. We want to bring this to the front of the camera as well. On screen, the main language is French, and, throughout the first 3 seasons, it will be no less than 10 languages (including ASL) that will be spoken on screen. All the episodes will also be available subtitled in those languages from their release. Representing society also means having diversity. And by diversity, we mean body diversity, ethnic diversity, physical disabilities, etc. We also mean having LGBTQ+ representation (Lead is Bisexual - writer and producers are part of the community as well). Now changing the stigmas in film & tv is also being done through the themes presented in the show. The main one is mental illness and the stigmas that surround it. Our main character, Damon, has anxiety. Throughout the seasons, not only will we see how he deals with it, but also the bad and the good reactions his entourage have towards it. Another stigma we will attack is the representation of domestic violence against men. Although the series will present victims on both sides, we wanted to bring up this situation that is often ridiculed, at least here, on screen. Most victims who are men do not have access to shelters, to resources, or even the police. And that is even worse when it comes down to a police officer or a soldier experiencing it; the response they get is to defend themselves or that they might be getting hit because they hit first. With all of those, we hope to create a discussion with one person. One might seem a little low, but actually it could be a lot; because one person might then go and create a discussion that could reach a thousand ears. So, yeah, we plan on changing the world, one person at a time.
Annie Coutu - Producer, Director Filmmaker and PDG of Aisha Productions, Annie Coutu has over 20 years of experience in the industry. Well-known on the international market, her projects also have the mission to change the world. This is the case of WHITE HOURS (France 2), a French coproduction about bullying and the impact it has on the family’s victim, or REWRITE YOUR LIFE, a documentary about drop-out students who decide to take their life back. Her love for drama brings her to produce the web series CONSENSUS (TV5) about a Franco-Ontarian couple. The movie A FISH STORY (with Eddy McClintock and Jayne Heithmeyer) is awarded everywhere it goes. As a director of the series LES TRESORS DE LA PETITE-NATION (TVA &V), she helps us find the secrets of that region. Annie has also been on the board of directors of the Outaouais Film Festival where she has been in charge, for around 10 years, of the masterclasses and Pro events. www.aishaproductions.ca Aïsha Cloutier - Writer, Producer Growing up in a cinephile family, Aïsha quickly developed an interest for the Film & TV industry. Her first apparition on the big screen was actually at 2 months in the short film "Unexpected". 23 years later, she has graduated from the Vancouver Film School, acted in many short films and was also the voice of over 20 characters in 2 new games created by a local company, and lead of a brand new historical VR Film. This passion for being in front of the camera quickly met her passion for writing. When she was presented the possibility of doing a personal project for her IB diploma (International Bachelor Program), she immediately knew she wanted to make a film. So, she started writing. What started as a 15-minutes short film quickly turned into a feature and got transformed into the web-series that is now known as Illusions. Now, she has 3 VR film, two web-series, and a feature in different stages of development. www.aishacloutier.ca Mathieu Provost -DOP https://bel-canto.ca/

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
