About

Nests, shells, bowers, diatoms, reefs and other constructions by non-human animals are evidence of the incredible variety and inherent worth of the millions of species we share the planet with. I will be creating a series of interoperable 3D models that can be placed and showcased in many different virtual worlds. Each will be an NFT minted in a limited edition with half the proceeds going to groups that conserve habitat for endangered species.

Impact

The intention for this project is to raise awareness about the incredible culture and creations of animals - as well as the precarious position they are in due to anthropocentric thinking and behavior. I am also focused on using methods and intentions around interoperability and the open metaverse. If there are profits from the sales of the NFTs, half will go to ecological conservation groups and half to maintain the Animal Architecture brand so that I can keep raising awareness and hopefully expand and bring more people into the project.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
