SYMBIOSIS

About

What is it like to be an other creature? Symbiosis is award winning speculative VR experience inspired by the work of biologist and philosopher Donna Haraway. In the current age in which the climate and atmosphere are changing as a result of human activity, she is thinking about a future in which humans have a less central place and are willing to share power with non humans. Symbiosis hints at a future life in true symbiosis with other organisms and technologies on this planet.

Impact

Symbiosis is currently running at Portland Art Museum. More than 70 shows were sold out in 3 days. Polymorf wants to expand our stay in the US with more shows (SXSW, Tribeca and others) to inspire people to move into Symbiotic kinship with nature.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
