About

Following the recent high-profile murders of women whilst walking in UK streets, this piece brings attention to women’s desire to walk home and move through space without fear, producing a different experiential reality. Working with dancers from different backgrounds and delving into their own experiences, this piece takes an intersectional approach, showing the affective relationship of women’s bodies to spaces, places, and gender inequalities.

Impact

This will be shown across a number of UK high streets at night, projected onto buildings in partnership with Emergency Exit Arts as well as in festivals. The objective is to bring visibility to the affective impact of violence on women’s bodies.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
