In the Shadows of I-83

About

In the Shadows of I-83 highlights what is and has been rendered invisible to the naked eye in the context of the Jones Falls Expressway, meditating on stories that have been cemented over and/or cast aside. This film demonstrates that although it might not appear from the outside that a farmers market has anything to do with a graffiti scene, for instance, there might be more social and political overlap than what meets the eye.

Impact

This documentary will urge its audience to think more concretely about the ways in which marginalized communities (and ecosystems) are devastated socially and politically via a living legacy of violent, unending urban infrastructural change.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
