Women led bands music festival

About

Lulufest Lenox is an off shoot of a jazz fest that began in Austin TX 10 years ago, created to inspire women, young and old to present their own vision of their music with a focus on improvisation. Women in leadership rolls on stage is sadly still more unusual than it is the norm. Lulufest Lenox strives to close that gap by presenting workshops, and world class performances featuring strong female artists at the helm. The ensembles invite male band mates, but the featured leaders are all women.

Impact

To witness women in a leadership roll, in-particularly in the field of jazz where they have been in the shadows far too long inspires change for women in the music industry going forward.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
