Affordable Housing

About

With the continued rise of the cost of living, the nationwide evictions and subsequent protests, we wanted to speak to this hardship in a way that is fun and entertaining but still captures just how weird and terrifying it all is. Affordable Housing will screen at community centers, drag show events, and other culture spaces as way to exorcize these anxieties through gore, fun, and cheap drinks.

Impact

Apart from film festivals that center diverse voices, our screenings partners also include micro-cinemas who focus on social justice, and non-profits that serve housing vulnerable youth with wrap around services including arts programming.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
