About

This drone controller (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bdHtfRaxfU) lost its partner, the drone that it is meant to control. A drone controller without its drone struck me as a strange and poignant allegory for the loneliness of a lost love. Through Arduino/Max MSP I am sending the controller I am manipulating effects on my vocal. Using voice/drums/keys I will create a duet series about loneliness, modulating the sound of it transmitting a wifi signal as it hopelessly searches for its pair.

Impact

Art has a mysterious way of transforming lives. Finding connection & community through wordlessly sharing feelings that may appear unique to the individual. By creating a piece about isolation and loneliness I hope to pull people out of those states.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
