Catfish

About

Catfish is a short film that explores male homosocial relationships in the workplace through a satirical lens. In Pakistan, the office can be seen as an extension of the playground. 'Laundas' - think of them as the Pakistani Chads, take up a lot of space in the office, both physically and mentally. Our story is about about a lonely boy catfishing his toxic chad coworker, but delves deeper into masculine subcultures in Pakistan.

Impact

Art and freedom of information are under assault in Pakistan. This kind of story could never be funded without grassroots efforts. If even one story can be told, there is hope for countless others.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
