A cookbook and regional food guide for downeast Maine, co-written by dancer/chef formally of Chez Panisse, and a farmer/activist
youthagriculture-landhealth-wellness
Local food systems are extraordinarily important! In this book we celebrate the regional food web of one small area, Downeast Maine. Gorgeous photographs of hot young farmers swimming for kelp harvest and eating uni at dawn are meant to entice young people to join this beautiful, important lifestyle. Farm food is communal, messy. Dishes are created out of abundance and scarcity. The two writers are Hilary Kennedy and Severine von Tscharner Fleming. Hilary Kennedy is the main grant applicant!
We hope our book will educate readers on how it IS possible to eat from your regional food system, which is probably the number one thing we as humans can do to support the health and healing of our planet. Perhaps readers will even take up farming!

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
