Wish n Wash

Project details match catalog

About

My partner and I are making an animation series from the perspective of queer individuals dealing with late-stage capitalism. The main characters will be doing mundane tasks like laundry and customer service at the Wish n Wash, a laundromat casino.

Impact

Hopefully it will give a humorous yet serious look into LGBTQ+ lives and the effects of late-stage capitalism on the working class.

Progress

We have planned out the project and we are starting to build out 3D character assets, rigs, and the 3D environment. We would love to hire others to help us on the road to project completion.

Team

My partner and I are both non-binary lesbians & artists. We have seen a lot of people become rich and change due to the effects of late-stage capitalism. This is a humorous yet non-offensive way to cope and share our experience.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
