About

My team and I are producing an augmented reality experience using volumetric video so we can make it look like little people are walking around and talking and telling stories on our kitchen table and elsewhere.

Impact

This project and the pipeline we're building for it is the first step in transforming the future of entertainment from 2D on a flat screen into 3D and the spatial entertainment that we will experience on kitchen tables and the world around us.

Progress

We've built an incredible team that has already captured our sets using photogrammetry and our actors performances in volumetric video. We've also assembled the first 4 minutes (of 15) in Unity and have it working in Augmented Reality.

Team

I began producing VR and telling spatial stories in 2014 and have had VR documentaries and cinematic narratives premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, Seattle International and Cucalorus and have produced & directed dozens of VR experiences.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
