About

I’m producing an AR film which aims to build empathy towards people experiencing schizophrenia and hallucinations in the west by taking inspiration from Southeast Asian social perception of spirit beliefs.

Impact

By emerging viewers into conversations with people from Indonesia who experience seeing spirits we help to understand how Southeast Asian culture embraces these situations. What western society can learn from it to build more tolerable neurodiversity

Progress

This project is already 4 years in production. The team and tech R&D are ready. We raised 20% of the funding needed. Multiple pre-production interviews were taken. And we found a few protagonists in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

Team

I’ve been working on immersive art projects in 20+ countries. I love to show what western society can learn from other cultures by bringing and exposing the pieces of reality from various indigenous communities back to the west.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
