A project sharing platform for electronics
community-economyopen-infrastructure
We are building an open source platform for sharing open source hardware electronics. A Github for electronics, but since hardware is different we focus on documentation and automating parts purchasing to make electronics designs truly replicable.
We help the open source hardware (OSHW) community better document and share designs. OSHW allows us to make devices that are much more open, adaptable and appropriate for the end user.
We have an active open source project with two core developers (github.com/kitspace). New projects are being added every few weeks. We are almost ready for the v2 launch which will make adding projects easier. We do already receive Fiat donations.
I'm an electronics engineer and web developer and passionate about open source and especially OSHW. My pet use-case is enabling scientific research replication through OSHW, hence many projects on Kitspace are scientific instrumentation.
No displayed figures preserved for this project.
Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
