OSAGE ‘85 is a VR documentary about two very different Black families experiencing a catastrophe on Mother's Day 1985.
film-storytelling
We are making a VR documentary experience about the Philadelphia police department's bombing of the revolutionary group MOVE.
The project will generate a crucially needed discussion on the militarization of American policing over the last 40 years, and governments' tendencies to quickly up the ante to violence when faced with opposition.
We have raised 20% of the budget, the project participated in the 2023 Venice Biennale College Cinema VR, and we have built an advisory board.
Because I have deep knowledge of the event and ties to the Osage Avenue community.
No displayed figures preserved for this project.
Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
