A web3 enabled transmedia project that explores, $COFFEE, culture, and community.
decentralizedarts-mediacommunity-economyculture-identity
An interactive transmedia art book, that transmits the origins of our global coffee culture and provides access to an immersive gallery and archive.
Through interactive and immersive touch points, the project seeks to establish a more equitable and balanced representation of coffee and its cultural legacy.
I've released early artwork and attempted an NFT crowdfund. I've also garnered some encouraging press.
As an Ethiopian-American multidisciplinary artist and curator this subject is extremely close to me. I've grown up seeing the widespread social and economic impact that coffee continues to have on the world, while ignoring its deep roots and rituals.
No displayed figures preserved for this project.
Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
