We are developing a stack of tools to decentralize news-gathering in order to restore trust and autonomy in journalism
decentralizedcommunity-economy
We will develop ways for journalists harnessing blockchain's strengths -- transparency, immutability and censorship resistance -- to create a better and more trustworthy newsgathering process.
The loss of local news outlets has led to new levels of polarization, civic disengagement and withdrawal from community in many countries. Meanwhile, surveys show most people no longer trust what news remains. We will rebuild with new, better tools.
We have raised a small amount of seed $$, built a dedicated core team and spread our message at media, news and Web3 conference as well as podcasts and publications.
There are very few people with strong backgrounds in both journalism and Web3. I think we've gathered most of them in one place!

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
