Thai Khon Multiplayer Mixed Reality

Project details match catalog

About

We will create an interactive Multiplayer MR experience that teleports 4 key Khon characters to the users’ locations. The character will be able to talk and answer questions as they are AI NPCs while users can also exchange opinions with each other.

Impact

The project enables productive debates. By challenging cultural norms, we can foster a more inclusive and diverse representation of the arts in Thailand, thereby addressing the connection between inequality, hierarchical culture, and the Khon dance.

Progress

We have done many similar R&D projects including official exhibitions for private businesses and research with Goldsmiths. This is the next step to develop our previous XR and Dance projects forward with experiences gathered from the past years.

Team

We are a unique VR/AR studio in Thailand that works at the intersection of Fine Art and XR. Our team has experience collaborating with Snap and Meta as AR Partners and also has various experiences in XR and dance projects for artist exhibitions.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
