Expanding Ametxe's edible forest in the Basque Country
AgroforestryCoop regenerativeagriculture-landopen-infrastructureA living lab for food sovereignty around a coop house: edible forest with syntropic planting, adding rainwater harvesting and a bio-pond, and opening permaculture trainings so neighbours can practice a different relationship with land and each other
By modeling shared power, food sovereignty, and regenerative land care, Ametxe offers a replicable path: expanded edible forests, water-wise infrastructure, and open trainings that spread agroforestry skills and self-managed housing beyond Gordexola
We rehabilitated a 1660 farmhouse into the Basque Country's first coop housing project, steward the regional coop network, host monthly auzolan, and manage a 600m² edible forest, sheep grassland, and pine plantation with regenerative partners.
Ametxe has years of experience in community-led housing, land stewardship, and regenerative agriculture. Led by Jorge & Jose, our nonprofit coop manages 40,000m² of land with established community and digital outreach channels for lasting impact.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
