A magazine and community exploring the history of film through in-depth exploration of filmographies.
community-economyfilm-storytelling
I’m making an independent online film magazine and community. FC3K explores the history of film by taking an in-depth look at genres, filmmakers, and different waves of cinema — this is through the curation of essays, features, illustration, etc.
The purpose of Film Club 3000 is to bring the forth new voices in film analysis, to pave a way for the voices of tomorrow, and to always look at what came before in the pathway of film history while uncovering underrepresented filmmakers lost to time
I have assembled a team of strong writers with backgrounds in both film production and film theory. We have already released the first issue of the magazine, and already are working on the next — completely self funded.
I have a vetted interest in the history of film, and giving opportunity to those who have been historically othered from both the Hollywood and independent film industries. Most of my experience has been in community involvement and youth inclusion.
No displayed figures preserved for this project.
Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
