About
Lots of musicians own instruments they hardly ever play. Other musicians can't afford to carry theirs around. GearSurfing is a map that puts the two together: find gear near you, borrow it for the night, give it back. Everybody's stuff gets played.
Impact
Every borrowed amp is two musicians meeting. GearSurfing turns idle instruments into a reason for local scenes to connect — musicians helping musicians play, in cities where touring had become too expensive to bother. Trust is the currency.
Progress
We went from idea to a working, open-source map in months. It's online now at gearsurfing.xyz. Insurance for lent gear is already signed. Logins, mobile app and a trust-scoring system are in build, plus a second partnership close to closing.
Team
I'm a musician. I also run a label, a booking agency and live events, so I've spent years watching artists drop shows over gear they couldn't move. I designed GearSurfing myself and the YOMI team built it. I'm the user I'm building for.

| Season 7 | SpaghettETH Fund for ETHalian Communities | curated | 2026-08-27 |
Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
