Bioluminescent fungal networks turn entire farms into living sensors that glow to signal soil health.
AgricultureTech agriculture-landhealth-wellnessscience-research
We're growing a special kind of fungus underground that connects across a whole farm like a web. When the soil is healthy, it glows soft green at night. When it's dry, tired, or missing nutrients, it glows a different color.
Small farmers worldwide can't afford expensive soil sensors, satellites, or IoT equipment. MycoNet replaces all of that with biology that grows itself, costs almost nothing to maintain, and repairs itself after storms or damage.
We've identified three mycelium species with natural bioluminescent-adjacent signaling pathways and successfully cultured a lab-scale network across a 2-square-meter test bed.
I've spent the last two years combining mycology research with sensor-network design, working alongside soil scientists and synthetic biologists.
No displayed figures preserved for this project.
Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
