About
Mallung: a Sri Lankan platform for the arts, combining traditional interrogation with contemporary exploration, manifesting as club nights, concerts, and a record label at its centre. Our next project is a new dance music inspired by Sri Lankan drums
Impact
Mallung will platform Sri Lankan art and culture to a global audience. Compressed into this tiny island is a complex history & endemic magic: a lineage of creativity, sonic expression, indigenous rhythms, folk songs - and a contemporary opportunity.
Progress
Sep 2025: hosted an artist residency by the Sinharaja rainforest, exploring traditional drumming and folk songs with contemporary artists Jan 2026: launch event and listening party in Colombo Mar: 1st single released Jun: 2nd single released
Team
I've worked in music and culture for the past 10 years. I am a music supervisor and brand strategist in London, and my dad is Sri Lankan. I am based between London and Sri Lanka, and for the above, I feel uniquely placed to bring this project to life

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
