Using mechanism design to build incentive-aligned institutions
ai-technologyclimate-ecologycommunity-economyculture-identityeducation
We are building tools that make mechanism design accessible to all, including a library of mechanism primitives with implementation examples, an AI tool trained on the library, and interactive mechanism modeling tools.
By making mechanism design easier to do, we hope that this will empower communities, organizations, and entrepreneurs to launch cryptoeconomic interventions that solve pressing coordination problems– from governance and identity to AI and climate.
So far, we have built out the first version of the library, populating it with ~120 primitives along with a description, implementation examples, and further resources. We also have a working prototype of the AI tool.
I've been designing blockchain-based coordination mechanisms since 2015. I cofounded dOrg, the first service DAO, and also started DAO Drops, a retroactive public goods funding mechanism supported by the Ethereum Foundation.
No displayed figures preserved for this project.
Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
