About

The New Media Lab is a digital-art laboratory combining artist residencies, training, experimentation and exhibitions, where artists, researchers and technologists develop and share new work across immersive media and emerging technologies.

Impact

New Media Lab gives emerging digital artists the resources, knowledge and audiences to experiment freely, while creating a bridge between Latin American and European creators and expanding who can shape the future of immersive culture.

Progress

Since launching in 2025, we have hosted two international artist residencies and a growing program of workshops, talks and public activities spanning XR, AI, creative coding, immersive storytelling and digital creation.

Team

We work across immersive technology, artistic production and cultural management. Through CANVAR, we connect Latin American and European artists, technologists and institutions to turn experimentation into sustainable creative opportunities.

The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
