About

I'm building a large ecosystem of software to enable people to truly own and control their data. From mobile apps, to a private cloud ... the amount of software necessary to undo decades of centralized internet infrastructure is daunting.

Impact

If successful, Re-Public will allow people to leverage the data they generate in order to manifest their will in the real world. The goal is to make each one of these use cases as easy as pushing a button on your phone.

Progress

After five years of prototypes, user interviews, product feedback, Re-Public has been built and torn down many times over. I've released a mobile app on the App Store/Play Store, received almost $100k in grants, built a small-but-dedicated community.

Team

I'm thinking in terms of 20 years, not two, which means I don't have to compromise on principles the way more fast-moving projects are forced to. Most people seem to narrow focus, burn out, or take VC money, and I've dedicated my life to this thing.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
