About

Imagine clothes made of pieces that snap together like LEGO. If a sleeve rips or you grow taller, you don't throw the whole shirt away, you just swap that one piece for a new one. The clothes get fixed instead of trashed.

Impact

ReStitch cuts textile waste by replacing whole-garment disposal with a patented interlocking-seam system. Users can swap damaged panels in minutes without sewing, extending garment life while creating local repair jobs for tailors.

Progress

Researched interlocking seam mechanisms (hidden snap/zip hybrids) and modular design principles from outdoor gear and children's clothing. Sketched a 5-panel jacket prototype and identified durable, washable connector materials for upcoming testing.

Team

I have hands-on experience with garment construction and tailoring, a strong interest in sustainable design, and the practical problem-solving mindset needed to turn "clothes that repair themselves" from a sketch into something wearable.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
