Help us renew La Galería in Panajachel a cultural refuge in need of light, sound, and new life for the future.
arts-mediacommunity-economyculture-identity
I'm seeking new activities, artists, and workshops that reflect our community’s interests, while also exploring sustainable income sources to ensure the long-term future of the space.
In a growing tourist town with no cultural spaces, my goal is to make this a refuge for local and international artists to connect with Guatemalan culture and share their talents with the Panajachel community.
Since becoming manager 3 years ago, I’ve boosted the gallery’s social media, tourist visits, and launched regular events like local markets, live music festivals, exhibitions, and workshops that celebrate life and creativity.
I’ve lived in this community for 7 years. As a Guatemalan, I connect with locals and work with foreign hostel owners. The gallery owners trust me, and I respect their space by avoiding loud events. I also understand local tourism’s seasonality.
No displayed figures preserved for this project.
Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
