Project details match catalog

About

This is a story about brave women from Nigeria who wear soldier uniforms and travel to another country called Sudan to help people who are scared because of fighting. They help keep families safe, protect children

Impact

This project will bring visibility to the often-overlooked contributions of Nigerian female peacekeepers, challenging stereotypes about women in the military while highlighting Africa’s role in global peacebuilding.

Progress

The project is currently in the research and development phase. I have defined the core story, identified its central themes, and begun gathering historical context and reference materials on Nigerian female peacekeepers in Sudan.

Team

As a Nigerian filmmaker and storyteller, I am passionate about documenting stories that are often overlooked. My experience creating community-driven projects has shown me the power of film to preserve history and challenge perceptions.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
