TuRuta - Collectible Buses 1st edition

Project details match catalog

About

We made an NFT collection of iconic Lima public transport buses that is being given away for free to users of our app TuRuta.pe which is in the top 2 public transport apps in Peru.

Impact

We are onboarding our community in Lima to web3. TuRuta has more than half a million downloads and the NFTs are available for free to all of them who participate.

Progress

We have already done the art of the NFT collection and setup the campaign (website and in-app notifications in TuRuta). The campaign lasts 10 days and finishes on August 13th. You can check it out at https://retos.turuta.pe/?u=3 (Spanish).

Team

We and other 2 friends co-founded TuRuta and grew its app from zero to half a million downloads with less than $5K spent in acquisition. We won 2nd place in Latam in the Celo Hackathon with our project TuBoleto - Using Crypto to pay public transit.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
