About

I’m making a series of 360 immersive videos exploring the intricate world of the nearshore environment and how to protect it. This interface is where our surface actions make have the greatest impact on our ocean dwelling neighbors.

Impact

People protect what they love, but they must know it to love it. The undersea world is ‘out of sight, out of mind’ it is my hope that by immersing more people in our underwater world with virtual and augmented reality that I may help grow awareness.

Progress

My work has been included in an installation at the Burke Museum in Seattle as part of an exhibit called “we are puget sound”. Oculus has donated 100 headsets for sharing our content. A previous version was installation at Pacific Science Center.

Team

I am one of the few people in my field to have the tools, skills, background and reach necessary to make this happen. I own a top of the line 360 camera system for filming and 30 years of experience.

Funding

No displayed figures preserved for this project.

Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
