arts-mediahealth-wellness
I am making a VR / 360 install fantastical musical with latin grammy nominated artist Alemor , where we invite people who are recovering from addiction, to re imagine what would be the most beautiful and sacred places to present their 12 step.
we plan on utilizing prior research on CB therapy to create more compassionate, equitable and honorable spaces, where people recovering from substance abuse can grieve, heal, and restore their dignity, by presenting worlds that provide hope & magic
on 2020, with an unity grant, we conducted research on, with 50/60 patients reporting development through our game. We received an LMCC grant and a PRTT dev residency. Project is supported by the MIX center (AZ) and musical theater factory.
I have developed a practice at the intersection of digital media, community engagement, performance and sacred practices. My work for years come from my experience as an addict in recovery. I am currently at ASU, doing a master about this!
No displayed figures preserved for this project.
Season totals as displayed on the platform's public accounting — not a statement of amounts paid out. V2 = Venus sales + Venus extras. The original page also broke each season down by fund drive and showed an Available (unclaimed) balance; that level of detail survives only on the preserved snapshots.
