Putting web3 to work for real African trade: shopkeepers, cross-border traders, artists, and the builders who serve them.
Web3 in Africa succeeds when it expands real trade and real opportunity, not when it stays confined to a technical niche. This fund backs the shopkeeper in Nairobi accepting stablecoins, the trader moving goods across borders who needs faster settlement, the artist minting work for a global audience, and the builder shipping the tools that make all of it possible. It exists to put resources directly into the hands of the people bringing African commerce and creativity onchain.

To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Applicants must be actively building, trading, or creating within the African web3 community.
- Open to anyone across Africa advancing their opportunities through web3: small businesses taking their first steps onchain, shopkeepers exploring crypto payments, traders building cross-border networks, artists minting and selling work, and developers shipping tools the community uses.
- Show real participation and genuine intent to use web3 to expand trade and opportunity across the continent.
- Creative communities documenting the movement qualify too.
- Purely speculative use cases are out of scope.
