Source Fund for Regenerative Storytelling

Supporting under-resourced storytellers whose hopeful, regenerative stories can change how the world thinks, feels, and acts.

The stories we repeat become the world we build, and today's dominant narratives are failing us. The Source Fund backs storytellers of every medium, podcasters, filmmakers, writers, comedians, and community voices, whose work is regenerative at heart: hopeful, solutions-driven stories that shift culture rather than feed the doom cycle. The fund is led by Lee Rael, a Cape Town creative director with 25 years in craft and a lifetime in the regenerative movement, and it grows from Source, a social enterprise built for narrative change that intends to reinvest its own profits back into this fund as it grows.

Eligibility

We welcome storytellers of every kind: podcasters, video creators, filmmakers, writers, journalists, comedians, and anyone whose medium is narrative. Voices underrepresented in global media, especially creators from the global South, hold a special place in this fund's heart, though the fund is open worldwide.
To qualify for this fund:
- You must demonstrate real storytelling craft: show us work that proves you can hold an audience
- Your content must be regeneratively focused in the broadest sense: climate, community, culture, indigenous wisdom, or solutions that help life thrive
- Your stories should lean hopeful and inspiring: we fund narratives that move people to act, not despair
- You must commit to a regular creation cadence: this fund backs practices, not one-offs
