Seeking place-based coalitions across Bloom Network's nearly 60 local chapters worldwide: the farmers, artists, watershed stewards, and neighbors building the communities they want to live in, together.
Since 2008, Bloom Network has been quietly proving that healthy, resilient communities are built by creatives: the musicians, makers, farmers, and organizers who treat life where they live as a shared work of art. Across nearly 60 local chapters on six continents, Blooms host farmers markets, song circles, watershed restoration days, language schools, and pop-up kitchens, weaving businesses, mutual aid groups, and everyday neighbors into coalitions none of them could form alone. Traditional funding rarely reaches this kind of work; it funds single-issue projects, not living networks. The Bloom Fund exists to change that. It gives Local Bloom chapters, cross-chapter collaborations, and network-wide initiatives the resources to formalize the creative projects already stirring on the ground: regional watershed mapping, indigenous song circles, community currency systems that let neighbors exchange their gifts, and cultural gatherings that dissolve the silos between food, housing, and land. Every funded project is documented publicly on Bloom's platform, so what works in one community becomes a trail marker for the next. This is not a bet on a future that might arrive. It is fuel for one already well underway.
This fund supports projects rooted in the Bloom Network.
To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Bloom-led: Projects must be led by a Local Bloom chapter, a cross-chapter Bloom collaboration, or a Bloom Network global initiative.
- One project per chapter: Each Local Bloom chapter may submit one project representing their coalition; cross-chapter collaborations and global initiatives may submit separately as their own entries.
- Coalition, not solo: Cross-chapter and global projects must bring together people from at least two different groups or sectors; this fund champions collective work, not individual artists or solo founders.
- Share what you learn: Funded projects agree to report on their work through Bloom Network's platform, so other communities can learn what works and try it where they live.
