The H.E.R. DAO Fund for Emerging African Builders supports early-stage creators in Africa who are building tech and Web3 projects despite limited access to capital. Rooted in H.E.R. DAO’s mission to make technology more inclusive, this fund champions young developers, designers, and digital creators with demonstrated momentum. We prioritize projects that show real progress, creative ambition, and the potential to create meaningful economic or community impact, helping Africa’s next generation of builders take their work to the next level.

Eligibility

This fund is designed to support early-stage, youth-led projects from Africa and the African diaspora that demonstrate seriousness, effort, and forward momentum.
We are especially interested in creators who have begun building but need funding, visibility, and community support to grow.
Projects should be tech-driven, impact-oriented, and grounded in real work already underway.
To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- The project must be led by a creator from Africa or the African diaspora
- The lead creator must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- The project must be early-stage (idea to MVP or prototype level; not fully mature or scaled)
- The project must be tech-based, including Web3, software, digital platforms, or on-chain creative work
- The creator must provide proof of work or progress (e.g. prototype, demo, code repository, design work, pilot, or community traction)
- Projects must demonstrate creative intent, technical effort, and potential for growth or impact
- The project must align with Artizen’s broader values of originality, feasibility, and positive impact.
