Wellspring Fund for Water Security

Seeking creators of all kinds who secure humanity's access to clean water

Water is the quiet dependency under everything we build, and most of the systems around us treat it as an afterthought. Cities send rain to the gutter while aquifers drop; and AI is reshaping society's thirst faster than our infrastructure can answer, drying up rivers that whole cities rely on to survive. The Nurtured Spring Fund for Water Security backs creators who design water into the system from the start: graywater reuse, rain catchment, groundwater restoration, earthworks that turn runoff into native habitat. That work can take the shape of a backyard permaculture garden, an off grid home that is itself a work of art, a community water project, or research that informs how cities and nations manage what is left. The bet is simple: the surest path to water security is thousands of creative people, artists, builders, scientists, and inventors, each finding ways to make sure there is enough, for everyone, for a long time.

Eligibility

This fund welcomes creators of every discipline working at any scale, from a single household system to societal infrastructure.
To qualify for this fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
. Net zero or greater watertable impact: Tech Projects must have a concrete plan for how to create a positive impact on the watertable in order to be considered
- Measurable water impact: Projects must create a measurable outcome that positively affects the future of clean water, or produce knowledge that informs our ability to build those systems.
- Regenerative by design: Projects should treat water as part of a whole living system, through approaches like rain catchment, graywater reuse, groundwater restoration, or water wise earthworks, rather than single use consumption.
- Any scale welcome: From backyard permaculture gardens to scientific research that informs policy, systems of all sizes qualify; small, high impact projects are especially encouraged.
- Open to all creators: Artists, natural builders, scientists, and technologists alike, so long as the work contributes to securing and sustaining healthy water systems.
