About
I am developing Balcony Mycelium Lab, a 12-week open-source field study on growing mycelium vessels from a Taiwan balcony during Artizen Season 7.
Impact
The project turns balcony biomaterial experiments into public knowledge, sharing low-cost methods, failure records, and Taiwan humidity lessons for artists, makers, and students outside professional labs.
Progress
I completed one releasable method, rope-mold hybrid forming, and tested demolding, drying, moisture rebound, wax sealing, and coating failures in Taiwan’s humid climate.
Team
I document slow material experiments through both success and failure. My practice connects craft, ecology, HCI/material research, and public learning through real balcony-based making.
